PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel sheet for an alternator core excellent in high frequency magnetic properties. SOLUTION: The fact that, in a steel sheet for a starter core of an alternator, by restrictly controlling the chemical components of a steel sheet such as an Si content and an Al content and optimizing them, the core loss after lamination can remarkably be reduced while its yield strength required at the time of the working of parts is secured, has been found, and the steel sheet has a compsn. contg., by weight, <=0.02% C, 0.05 to 1.5% Si, 0.05 to 1.0% Mn, <=0.2% P, <=0.02% S, <=0.005% N, <=0.005% or 0.1 to 1.0% Sol.Al, also satisfying >=0.05% Si+Sol.Al, and the balance substantial Fe and has 160 to 250 MPa yield strength YP. |
