PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external mirror having a facilitated electrical connection and also provide an arrangement of facilitating the connection to the external mirror during installation. SOLUTION: This door mirror 14 comprises a housing 16. The housing 16 is connected to a vehicle door 10 through a shaft part. An intermediate member 22 is inserted between the housing 16 and the vehicle door 10 so that each of the intermediate member 22 and the housing 16 is brought into contact relatively smoothly with the vehicle door 10. A cylindrical shaft part passes through the intermediate member 22 and further through a vehicle door mounting hole, and extends from the housing. The shaft part comprises main engaging members engaged with complementary engaging members formed in a door mounting hole. These engaging members, when the shaft part faces in a specified direction, prevents the shaft part from coming out of the mounting hole. A spring 72 is compressed between the housing 16 and the shaft part, and pulls the shaft part into the housing 16. By this inward movement, the main engaged members are energized and engaged with the supplementary engaging members.
