PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated drawing machine wherein a zero point can be sensed in a short time. SOLUTION: An X carriage 40 which is provided in a main body so as to be movable in an X direction, a Y carriage 61 which is provided for the carriage 40 so as to be movable in a Y direction, and a pen arm 30, at the forward end of which a pen is held and the forward end of which is provided for the carriage 61 so as to be vertically movable, are provided. A Y sensor S2 is provided on a circuit substrate 58 of the carriage 40 to sense a zero point in the Y direction of the carriage 61.
