PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically and correctly measure an amount of remaining ink. SOLUTION: A reflecting face is provided inside an ink tank main body 3, which moves according to an amount of stored ink. A monitoring part 6 for monitoring an amount of remaining ink is set to a specified position of a rear face of the ink tank main body 3. A reflecting type photosensor 1 emits an infrared light through the monitoring part 6. An intensity of the reflecting light is measured, thereby detecting the amount of remaining ink. |
