PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cartridge which can be deformed into compact shape when it is transported or stocked and a tape printer equipped with a tape cartridge. SOLUTION: The tape cartridge 4 containing first and second tapes T1, T2 being fed out while being superposed in a cartridge case 16 comprises a first tape containing section 4a, a second tape containing section 4b, a section 4c for coupling the first and second tape containing sections 4a, 4b, and a hinge mechanism 75 built in the coupling section 4c, wherein the first and second tape containing sections 4a, 4b are arranged to be bent freely each other through the hinge mechanism 75.
