plastic metal working, namely manufacture of hot rolled bars. SUBSTANCE: hot rolled bar section has channel-type cross section having width B whose convex and concave surfaces are restricted by predetermined radius values and also having vertical and inclined different-height lateral edges. Convex surface of bar section has lengthwise protrusion and groove arranged at different sides relative to mean line of cross section near inclined edge. Novelty is protrusions having upper face with width consisting (0.12-0,13)B, with rounding radius equal to radius of surfaces of cross section and with two flat lateral faces having different inclination and different width values. Small face of said two faces crosses convex surface of bar section along above mentioned mean line; its large face is joined with flat portion having width (0.15-0.16)B, inclined relative to vertical edge with height consisting (0.039-0.042)B and abutting to it. Rib of protrusion arranged near mean line of cross section is spaced along vertical line relative to concave surface of bar section by distance consisting (0.080-0,085)B and opposite rib is spaced by distance consisting (0.088-0.092)B. EFFECT: increased rate of rolling process, lowered wear of rolls, enhanced conditions for stacking bar sections, reduced labor consumption at making high-quality sections for plowshares. 1 dwg
