PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition for a porous substrate prevented from penetration into the porous substrate and capable of giving a coating film excellent in weather resistance, water resistance, chemical resistance, stain- proofing properties, waterproofness and adhesive strength in a simple process. SOLUTION: The title coating composition comprises (A) a solution containing a silicone oligomer obtained by a reaction of an alkoxysilane with water and comprising a constituent unit: R1nSiOx/2(OH)y(OR2)z (wherein R1 is a 1-3C alkyl, phenyl or vinyl group; R2 is a 1-3C alkyl group; 0.8<=n<=1.7; 20; z>0; and y+z=4-n-x), (B) a penetration-preventing agent comprising a particle having a particle size of 0.05-5μm and (C) a curing agent having compoundED therewith a metal complex having a functionality of at least 4.
