PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject film causing no printing shear and wrinkles, etc., during post-processing therefor, namely printing and laminating processes, having excellent processability such as handleability, trabelability and shavingproofness, thus effective as a general wrapping material. SOLUTION: This film consists of an aliphatic polyester-based resin which is composed mainly of recurring unit of the general formula O-CHR-CO (R is H or a 1-3C alkyl) (e.g. polylactic acid), being characterized by satisfying the characteristics A to E described below: (A) the refractive index in the thickness direction (Nz) is 1.440-1.455, (B) the difference between the refractive index in the longitudinal direction (Nx) and that in the transverse direction (Ny): (Nx-Ny) is-0.020 to 0, (C) three-dimensional surface roughness (three-dimensional average slope gradient) (SΔa) at least on one side is 0.01-0.04, (D) asperity height at least on one side is <=0.89μm, and (E) thermal shrinkage at 120 deg.C is <=5%.
