PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent overturning of furniture having a number of drawer rows by locking the drawers which are arranged side by side, so as not to be drawn other than one, when the one out of the plurality of drawers has been drawn. SOLUTION: An engaged portion 3 is set on the bottom of each drawer 1 at a location in the vicinity of a transverse central portion, and an engaging portion 4 which is engageable with each engaged portion 3 is arranged on a casing W2. A locking apparatus 2 is constituted of the engaged portions 3, the engaging portions 4, and an interlocking mechanism which maintains the engaging portions 4 of the respective drawers 1 other than one which has been drawn, in a locking state and locks the drawers 1 other than the one so as not to be drawn. The thus constituted locking apparatus 2 is set in each stage, and therefore the number of the drawers to be drawn at one time can be restricted to a value smaller than the number of the drawer stages. As a result, overturning or the like of furniture having a number of drawers which are arranged side by side can be effectively prevented.
