PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cloth-expanding frame for an embroidery machine capable of fixing a small piece of cloth to a stretched state even if a thin and soft tightening plate is used. SOLUTION: In this cloth expanding frame, a supporting frame has a receiving member supporting periphery of a tightening plate 20 for expanding the cloth and the cloth 27 is attached on a peripheral edge of a permeating hole of the expanding plate 20 so that an embroidery can be performed to the cloth 27, and a plurality of stopping pins 14 are scatteringly arranged in standing state, and otherwise, a stopping hole 21 for inserting the stopping pin is pierced at a position corresponding to the stopping pin 14 in the tightening plate 20 and corresponding stopping pin is inserted into the each stopping hole 21.
