PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the overflow of water from a flush toilet stool by setting a water level sensor at the flush toilet stool, issuing an alarm in response to the detection of the water level exceeding a predetermined level by the water level sensor, and maintaining a flush valve in an opening-disabled-state. SOLUTION: When a flush toilet stool 3 is clogged by a foreign matter, the water level in the toilet stool 3 ascends relative to a normal state when water is flushed, thereby energizing a water level sensor 4. Then, a water level detecting section 9 of a main body device 1 detects a predetermined water level and generates a detection signal, and a warning device 11 is activated by the detection signal, thereby sounding a buzzer. Further, a power source control section 8 is activated to interrupt power supply to a flush valve device 2 and to light up an indicating lamp 10. Since the power source control section 8 interrupts power supply to the flush valve device 2, a protective function for power failure is activated whereby the flush valve is forcedly kept in a closed state. Accordingly, even if a signal device 5 is operated, flush water is not supplied, thereby preventing overflow of water.
