PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a rubber composition having high adhesiveness to metal, having high modulus and high resistance to compression set and heat and suitably usable in a composite product consisting of rubber and metal by including raw material rubber, a specific compound and a specific polymer. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. raw material rubber (which may be rubber capable of being crosslinked with organic peroxide, rubber capable of being vulcanized, and/or diene-based or non diene-based rubber), (B) 0.1-15 pts.wt. 2,4-dimercapto-6-substituted-1,3,5-triazine of the formula (wherein, R is mercapto, an alkoxy, a mono- or dialkylamino, a mono- or dicycloalkylamino or the like) (preferably 2,4,6-trimercapto-1,3,5-triazine having the substituent R of mercapto group) and (C) 1-100 pts.wt. polymer (preferably graft copolymer) having epoxy group capable of crosslinking the above raw material rubber (e.g. graft copolymer having a main chain capable of forming crosslinkage between itself and the raw material rubber and having at least one graft chain having epoxy group).
