PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the twisting of a steering shaft during the swinging of a steering, and to easily absorb a loaded applied on the steering shaft. SOLUTION: When a distance between the shaft hole 8 of the tilt shaft of a tilt lower bracket 21 and a universal joint in the tip of a steering shaft 4 is reduced and a steering column is tilted, the rotation of a portion connected to the universal joint in the tip of the steering shaft 4 becomes small, and no twisting occurs in the steering shaft 4. Further, the inclined plate part 23 of the tilt lower bracket 21 supporting the steering column 3 is disposed to be orthogonal to the steering column 3, and when a load is applied to the steering shaft 4 to move toward the front of a car body; the inclined plate part 23 is distorted to easily absorb the load. |
