<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof corrugated fiberboard box which is highly waterproof and suitable for the transport of perishable foods, etc., and recovered as old paper in a recyclable manner after being used as the corrugated fiberboard by specifying the degree of water repellency on both face and rear sides of the corrugated fiberboard, and carrying a water repellent in the section of the corrugated fiberboard. SOLUTION: The degree of water repellency (JIS 8137) in both face and rear sides of a corrugated fiberboard is set to be at least R8, and a water repellent is carried in the section of the corrugated fiberboard to form a waterproof corrugated fiberboard box. The degree of water absorption from the section of the corrugated fiberboard is set to be 8 mm/24 hours or under. The wax content in the corrugated fiberboard is set to be 1 wt.% or under. In order to specify the degree of water repellency on both face and rear sides of the corrugated fiberboard, a well-known water repellent is carried on a surface of a raw liner on the side forming an outer side of the liner by a coating or spraying means. In addition, wax emulsion, molten wax, and various kinds of water repellent including petroleum resin, silicon and fluorine are appropriately used for the water repellent.</p> |
