PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column tube structure in a vehicular steering device capable of improving tilt telescopic operability, and solving the problem of the excess/shortage of stroke or the like in the spline of a steering shaft or the like. SOLUTION: Connecting flange portions 13C and 13D are respectively formed in a connected end part between the member 13b of the upper side divided body 13A of a column tube and the lower side divided body 13B of the same, and both connecting flange portions 13C and 13D are butted together and fastened to each other by a bolt or the like. On the other hand, a positioning recessed portion A composed of a groove part 14 is formed in a boundary between the end part of the member 13b of the upper side divided body 13A and its connecting flange portion 13C and in the connecting flange portion 13C, and a positioning projected portion B is formed in a boundary between the end part of the lower side divided body 13B and the connecting flange portion 13D, the projected portion B being composed of a cut piece 15 axially extended toward the upper side, and engaged with the positioning recessed portion A composed of the groove part 14.
