PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint cover free from lateral leakage and tread cracking and a flat plate roof material with the joint cover easy to construct. SOLUTION: A flat plate roof material joint cover 12 has a longitudinal flat plate mainbody 12a and a rising piece 12b rising up facing upward from the upper edge of the mainbody 12a and contains water proof banks 12c, 12c of elastic soft material provided at the right and left side edges on the upper face of the mainbody 12a. The flat plate roof materials 1 are combined with the joint covers. The joint cover is protruded on one of the right and left side edges on the lower face of the flat plate roof material 1 in the range from the flat plate roof material 1 to the direction of spreading the flat plate roof material by water tight joint of one of the right and left side edges on the upper face of the longitudinal flat plate mainbody of the joint cover and water proof banks of elastic soft material are provided at the side edges on the other upper face of the mainbody of the joint cover.
