PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a holding tool where everybody can simply pick a fishing bait such as a lobworm one by one, bait a fishhook with it while stopping the movement of the bait to be pierced at its preferred position and successively cut the bait so that cut portions are made to have any preferred length. SOLUTION: This holding tool has a pair of picking parts 4a, 4b and a pair of scissors 5a, 5b each formed in an integrated state at each tip of a tweezers- like main body consisting of two grips 2, 3 in an elastically openable state. The picking parts 4a, 4b have respective concave grooves 8, 9 for fastening a lobworm or the like in their insides. A pushing projection 10 is formed on this side from the groove 9 inside the picking part 4b, has a slope descending backward from the groove 9 and has an action of pushing the lobworm or the like sandwiched between the slope and the other picking part 4a to the grooves in front.
