PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selvedging apparatus capable of performing a high-speed motion while reducing an installation space of the selvedging apparatus. SOLUTION: This selvedging apparatus comprises a plurality of vertically shakable driving levers 2, 3 and 4, a plurality of guide levers 5, 6 and 7 having yarn guides 29, 30 and 31 respectively rotatably arranged at the tips of the driving levers 2, 3 and 4 and threading selvedge yarns 40 and cams balls 32, 33 and 34 and cams 8, 9 and 10 having cam faces 42, 43 and 44 engaging with the cam balls 32, 33 and 34 and maintaining the posture in the front and rear directions of the guide levers 5, 6 and 7 nearly constant in vertical shaking strokes of the guide levers 5, 6 and 7 with the driving levers 2, 3 and 4.
