PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a fluid sample by a solid phase extract for chemical analysis. SOLUTION: In an adsorbent cartridge, a pipette 10 having a longitudinal axis 21, a uniform taper inner hole 36b extending along the axis and a leading end opened at its distal end is used. A porous barrier wall 14 is arranged in the taper hole at a predetermined position of the leading end of the pipette and an adsorbent vol. 16 is defined between the barrier wall 14, a perforated wall and the opening part of the distal end of the leading end of the pipette. A fluid to be treated passes through the barrier wall 14 and an adsorbent is held by the barrier wall 14. A slurry of an adsorbing substance is sucked into the adsorbent vol. 16 by a syringe communicating with the leading end 12 of the pipette fluidly. A solvent is sucked through the barrier wall 14 and the adsorbent vol. 16 is filled with the adsorbing substance. A serum to be analyzed is sucked into the adsorbent in the same way through an opening part 19 provided to the distal end of the leading end by adapting suction to the leading end. The serum interacts with the adsorbing substance to be further drawn into the syringe through the barrier wall 14 and is taken out for analysis or use. |
