PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular steering device, wherein there is coincidence between the steering angle of a steering wheel and the steered angle of a wheel at the time of starting running. SOLUTION: A vehicular steering device is constructed in such a manner that a steering mechanism for changing the steered angle of a wheel by driving an electric motor is mechanically separated from a steering wheel, the steering angle of the steering wheel is detected, control is made to increase/decrease the steered angle of the wheel according to the detected steering angle, and when the steering wheel is not operated, the steering angle of the steering wheel is returned to a neutral point. This device is provided with a detecting means S2 for detecting the turning-ON of a power switch for turning ON/OFF a power source, and a neutral point returning means S12 for returning the steered angle of the wheel when the turning-ON of the power switch is detected by the detecting means S2. |
