PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the flying velocity of ink while suppressing fluctuation thereof among nozzles. SOLUTION: The ink jet head 3 is manufactured by laminating a substrate 109, a barrier wall 107, a piezoelectric element 105, and an individual electrode 103. An ink channel 116 having side face defined by a barrier wall 107 is coupled with the hole 101 of a nozzle 115. The ink channel 116 has substantially conical shape and the area of cross-section parallel with the bottom face decreases as the cross-section recedes from the bottom. The side face defined by the barrier wall 107 inflates into the ink channel 116. The barrier wall 107 also serves as a common electrode. The part between an individual electrode 103 and the barrier wall 107 of the piezoelectric element 105 serves as a drive part.
