METHOD FOR SEPARATING ELONGATED ROPE BLANK

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of performing local recrystallization annealing of zone for cutting by means of electric-resistance heating before thermally separating rope due to melting it at passing welding electric current; subjecting annealed portion to axially symmetrical plastic deformation by value consisting no less than 0.7 of initial diameter of blank in order to form necking portion with symmetrical or non-symmetrical profile. Method allows to shape non-twisting end portions in the form of pointed head and flat tail maximally corresponding to final design of flexible member.
