PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording sheet having excellent image light- proofness, ink absorbency, ink color developability and gloss by recording by using an ink made of water soluble dye. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording sheet comprises an ink receptive layer containing a pigment and a binding agent as main components on at least one surface of a support. In this case, the layer contains a water soluble aluminum salt (A) and a water soluble magnesium salt (M). A content of the (A) and the (M) salts in the layer is 3<=a+m<=5, and 1<=<=2, wherein a is an aluminum ion conversion value (millimol/100 g of the pigment), and m is a magnesium ion conversion value (millimol/100 g of the pigment). |
