PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a catalyst for partial hydrogenation of an aromatic olefin by which a high selectivity and a high yield are provided in manufacture of cyclohexene. SOLUTION: A catalyst suitable for partial hydrogenation of an aromatic olefin to cyclohexene comprises a metallic active component deposited on bioxide of gallium oxide-zinc oxide, and this metallic active component is selected from group VIII elements. This catalyst can exhibit a high selectivity and a high yield in manufacture of the cyclohexene. |
