PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce piston slapping sound in two strokes compatibly, where the difference in the piston behavior between the two sorts of strokes in expansion stroke and compression stroke is taken into account. SOLUTION: A piston P is structured so that an axial line L2 of its pin is located eccentrically from the cylinder axial line L1 and is equipped with a skirt part 19 in the form of a barrel with the middle swollen, wherein the radius decrease amount in the lower part 20 of skirt is set large on the thrust side and small on the counter-thrust side. In the expansion stroke, the piston is actively swung, while the skirt part 12 is abutted to the cylinder bore on the thrust side to reduce the piston slapping sound. In the compression stroke, the swing angle of the piston when the bottom of the skirt part 12 abuts to the cylinder bore on the counter-thrust side is suppressed low, and the piston slapping sound generated with the subsequent swing of piston in the opposite direction is reduced.
