PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy sheet for cap, having a low elongation and high strength and free from increase in tear load when used for widemouthed caps as caps for vessels for food and drink, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This aluminum alloy sheet for cap has a composition containing, by weight, 0.80-1.50% magnesium(Mg), 0.80-1.30% manganese(Mn), 0.10-0.30% copper(Cu), 0.20-0.70% iron(Fe), and 0.10-0.50% silicon(Si) as essential components and having the balance aluminum(Al) with inevitable impurities.
