PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cartridge, and a tape printer equipped with the tape cassette, in which a print tape and a laminate tape can be exchanged and handling is enhanced including replacement of these tapes. SOLUTION: The tape cartridge 4 comprises a print tape T1, a laminate tape T2 being pasted onto the print tape T1, and a cartridge case 16 for containing the print tape T1 and the laminate tape T2 removably while winding into rolls wherein at least one of the print tape T1 or the laminate tape T2 is contained in the cartridge case 16 while being held rotatably on a tape supporting frame 74.
