PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve work efficiency in manufacturing a built-up shape steel by forming a thin section smaller in thickness than the other section at a part of a web section. SOLUTION: A welding shape steel 5 having a thin section WG smaller in thickness than the other section is provided at part of a web section W, and a beveling section WK is formed at the thin section WG. When a built-up shape steel 4 is manufactured, the thin section WG is gas-cut, and two split shape steel pieces 2 are welded to both ends of a steel sheet 3. A wide-width shape steel or a different-width shape steel can be manufactured by changing the width of the steel sheet 3, and an asymmetric shape steel can be manufactured by changing the direction of the shape steel pieces 2 for welding. The welding shape steel 5 can be cut fast because the thin section WG is cut, the thin section WG becomes the beveling section WK at the time of welding, and no bevel machining is required. |
