PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and the weight of a valve system, wherein two sets of at least one of an intake valve and an exhaust valve are situated, to form the valve system in a compact manner, to improve durability, and to prevent the generation of noise. SOLUTION: This valve system comprises a first locker arm 3 to oscillate to cause opening and closing operation of a first intake valve 1, a second locker arm 4 to oscillate to perform opening closing operation of a second intake valve 2, a connecting member 9 situated between the extension end part 3A of the first locker arm 3 and the extension end part 4A of the second locker arm 4 and provided at one end part with a first spherical part 6 oscillatorily supported at a spherical seat 5 formed at the first locker arm 3 and at other end part with a second spherical part 8 oscillatorily supported at a spherical seat 7 formed at the second locker arm 4, and a drive means for performing oscillation drive of the first locker arm 3 to cause opening closing operation of the first intake valve 1.
