PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight floor material with improved soundproof performance against a shock sound by pressure-molding a composition made of ceramic fine hollow grains having the water pressure-resistant strength and melting point of prescribed values or above, waste tire chips and a synthetic resin emulsion into a sheet shape for use as a core material, and applying a waterproof material to its surface or to the surface and back face. SOLUTION: A composition made of a synthetic resin emulsion as a binder, ceramic fine hollow grains having the water pressure-resistant strength of 600 kgf/cm2 and the melting point of 1500 deg.C or above and waste tire chips is pressure-molded into a sheet shape for use as a core material 2, then a lightweight and vibration-absorbing floor material having elasticity suitable for walking feeling can be formed. Any coating type waterproof material 1 can be applied to the surface or the surface and back face of the floor material core material 2 formed into a sheet shape. The floor material, which is lightweight and has water resistance, weather resistance, a high soundproof effect against a shock sound and a good execution property, can be manufactured.
