PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper container which is easy in assembly, difficult to deform, and sufficiently sealable with a lid surface by providing a paper container body comprising main and sub blanks mainly consisting of paper, and an internal protective film layer consisting of a thermoplastic resin film closely attached to an inner surface thereof. SOLUTION: A paper container body 1 of a paper container A comprises a main blank comprising a square flange 3 and a lid surface 4 mainly consisting of paper, and a sub blank comprising a bottom surface 5 and side surfaces 6, 7. The bottom surface 5, the side surfaces 6, 7 and the flange 3 are closely attached to each other using a thermoplastic resin film formed of a thermoplastic resin to provide an internal surface protective film layer 2. Both the main and sub blanks can be easily assembled in a forming die, and the assembled shape is difficult to deform, and the paper container can be sufficiently sealed by the lid surface 4 since the flange 3 is smooth and integrated, and the lid surface 4 can be easily folded and overlaps the flange 3.
