GRANULATING TREATMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To granulate a briquet formed of particles on which contaminants such as contaminated soil and incineration ash are stuck into particles of small particle diameters, and to efficiently separate and remove the contaminated material stuck to respective particles of the briquet. SOLUTION: A granulating device 20 is provided with granulators 21 and 23 each provided with a rotary drum and a rotor eccentrically fitted inside the rotary drum and for granulating earth and sand or the like fed into a treating space between the rotary drum and the rotor while adding treating water. Material to be treated such as contaminated soil and incineration ash and particles of large particle diameters such as stones and pebbles mixed with material to be treated discharged and classified from the granulator 21 are mixed and fed into the granulating device 20, and also the rotary drum and the rotor are rotated in the reverse directions to each other with the particles of large particle diameters being mixed in the material to be treated to accelerate the particles of large particle diameters to perform granulating treatment of the material to be treated.
