PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for a motor-driven massage machine, by which safety is secured when a seat back part and a footrest part are electrically rotated and inclined. SOLUTION: The seat back part 2 which is electrically rotated and driven in a vertical direction is arranged in the rear part of a seat part 1, the footrest part 3 which is electrically rotated and driven in the vertical direction is arranged in the front part of the seat part 1 and massage mechanisms are disposed inside the parts 2 and 3 in the motor-driven massage machine. The machine is provided with at least one of the safety switches, that is, the one 4 for detecting a pressurizing force and stopping the rotary driving of the seat back part 2 or reversely driving it and the one 5 for detecting the pressurizing force and stopping the rotary driving of the footrest part 3 or reversely driving it and the safety switch 4 or 5 is arranged in the back part of the part 2 or 3. Even when the part 2 or 3 hits an obstacle when it is inclined and rotated, the obstacle is detected by the safety switch 4 or 5 so that the rotation of the part 2 or 3 is stopped or reversely rotated.
