摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide carbon fiber-containing thermoplastic resin compositions having a volume resistivity which is an index of the electrical resistance of carbon fibers and is controlled in a specific range by employing carbon fibers having a specific fiber diameter in spite of the same level of carbon fibers as conventionally used carbon fibers in the carbon fiber-containing thermoplastic resin composition. SOLUTION: An electrical resistance-controlled carbon fiber-containing thermoplastic resin composition is composed of a total of 100 pts. of (A) 50-85 pts.wt. thermoplastic resin (component A) and (B) 15-50 pts.wt. carbon fibers (component B) having a volume resistivity of 10-3-10-1Ω.cm and, a fiber diameter of 0.1-2μm and has a volume resistivity of 105-1011Ω.cm. Preferably, the component B is carbon fibers obtained by spinning or molding a starting material composition composed essentially of an aromatic sulfonic acid or a polymer of its salt by a methylene type bonding and a solvent, and then carbonizing the resulting fibers or a molded product.
