PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion capable of preparing a stable electrophotographic sensitized material over a long period of time in a stabilized state which does not cause lowering in electrification and increase in residual potential without losing high sensitivity even by repeated use, an electrophotographic sensitized material having the above described properties, an electrophotographic method, electrophotographic equipment, and an electrophotographic equipment process cartridge. SOLUTION: A method for preparing a dispersion by allowing a solvent containing an organic pigment to pass through a dispersion chamber containing a dispersion medium to disperse the organic pigment comprises letting the entire organic solvent pass through the dispersion chamber for the,same period of time. An electrophotographic sensitized material is prepared by using the dispersion obtained by this method. An electrophotographic method, and electrophotographic equipment and an electrophotographic equipment process cartridge use this sensitized material.
