PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and efficiently grind a material in a wide range from soft to hard into a mirror finished surface by rotating a trued diamond grinding wheel so as to directly contact with a holder for dressing. SOLUTION: A grinding wheel 1 to be trued is fitted to a grinder, and a holder 3 is attracted to a magnet chuck 7 on a table through a thick steel plate 6 as a magnetic body. Fitting angle θ of a single stone diamond dresser 2 is set at about 0-15 degree so that a tip thereof contacts with a bottom part of the grinding wheel 1, and the table is fed while rotating the grinding wheel 1 in a direction expressed with an arrow (a) for truing. Continuously, the single stone diamond dresser 2 is removed from the holder 3, and the trued diamond grinding wheel 1 is rotated so as to directly contact with the holder 3, and the table is reciprocated in the right and left direction and while fed in a depth direction for dressing. |
