PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low overhead clearance continuous underground wall excavator which eliminates inapproachable excavating areas and enables accurate positioning of an excavating point and is not subjected to the restriction of height or excavating scope. SOLUTION: In the low overhead clearance continuous underground wall excavator provided with a power unit 5 driving hydraulic machines, a reel unit 6 having a hose reel 6a for discharging slurry, an electric power cable reel, and a control cable reel, and an excavation unit 4 having a drum cutter 1, a drive source 2, and a slurry discharge pump 3, the excavation unit 4 is separated from the power unit 5 and the reel unit 6.
