PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely connect piles together in a locked condition without requiring great labor in connecting operations so that operational costs can be reduced. SOLUTION: A cylinder portion 21 is provided at one pile end and a shaft portion 11 is provided at the other pile end. Circumferentially extending inward grooves 22 are formed on the inner peripheral surface 23 of the cylinder portion 21 and circumferentially extending outward grooves 12 are formed on the outer peripheral surface 13 of the shaft portion 11 opposite to the inward grooves 22. Key members 3 mounted in the outward grooves 12 or the inward grooves 22 in such a way as to freely move back and forth are fitted therein across the inward grooves 22 and the outward grooves 12 as the cylinder portion 22 is fitted over the shaft portion 11, so that the cylinder portion 21 and the shaft portion 11 of adjacent piles A fitted one over the other can be freely connected together in a locked condition.
