<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light hollow piston with a very small inertia which can improve the compression efficiency of a compressor. SOLUTION: After forging the main body of a raw material state and a cap, the tips of respective heads are cut so as to form a joined surface and after coupling them by the friction welding carried out in the atmosphere with a normal temperature, the outer periphery surface of the piston 1 of the raw material state is cut and primarily machined and then after coating the entire piston, the outer periphery surface 1a of the piston is secondarily machined by grinding and finally, the piston is completed by forming a swash plate storing groove 1b, shoe safe mounting part 1c and the tip/rear end surface 1d, 1c of the piston by cutting.</p> |
