PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil filter where efficiency of an exchange work of an element is enhanced without contaminating the surroundings of a filter case at the exchange time of the element. SOLUTION: In the oil filter in which a cylindrical element 2 is attached inside the filter case 1 and the oil fed to a filter case inlet 1c is passed into an element inner peripheral surface 2d from an element outer peripheral surface 2c to be filtered and then is discharged from a filter case outlet 1d, a strainer 11 is inserted into the flow path arranged inside the element inner peripheral surface 2d and communicated with the filter case outlet 1d from the element inner peripheral surface 2d.
