PURPOSE:To accelerate the actual use of a fuel cell as a power supply source by supplying a fuel gas and an oxidizing agent gas to a gas diffusion passage of an interconnector on each of positive and negative electrode sides so that the concentration of supplied gas is gradually reduced from the central part toward the circumference. CONSTITUTION:A central gas supply part 12a and a zigzag gas diffusion passage 12b which communicates with the gas supply part 12a and opens in the circumference so that the gas is supplied to the surface of an electrode are installed. Or, an interconnector made of highly porous material is used and fuel or oxidizing agent gas is supplied to a central gas diffusion space 12a. The internal resistance is decreased, the mechanical strength of a unit cell is increased, the flow of gas is made uniform, and the area of an electrode is effectively utilized. Power generating efficiency is increased and the performance of a fuel cell is enhanced as a power supply source. |
