PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise the ink temperature from a low temperature state to an appropriate temperature state without providing a hardware such as a heater, and without fouling the vicinity of the nozzles by applying a driving signal to a driving part for jetting an ink, with a plurality of nozzles covered with a cap. SOLUTION: According to an operation by an operator for commanding the start of recording, a temperature sensor 54 senses the temperature of a recording head 40 so that the sensing result is supplied to a CPU as a control part. In the case the CPU recognizes that the temperature signal from the recording head 40 is lower than a set temperature, a driving pulse signal of a degree capable of ejecting an ink used in an ordinary recording operation is applied to each PZT element 53 via a driver IC 52, with ink ejecting nozzles 55 covered with a cap. Since the PZT elements 53 and the driver IC 52 generate heat in the case the preheating jetting pulse signal is applied, the temperature of the recording head 40 is raised. |
