PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cover tape which exhibits a good antistatic effect without detriment to its transparency by forming a vapor-deposited metal layer having a specified surface resistivity on its surface facing a carrier tape. SOLUTION: The tape-like carrier body 1 comprises a carrier tape 2 which has many pockets (dents) 6 for containing electronic parts and formed in the longitudinal direction with some distances and a band-like cover tape 4 which is bonded to the carrier tape 2 so as to seal the pockets 6. When the carrier body 1 is used, electronic parts W are put, one by one, into the pockets 6 and the cover tape 4 is bonded so as to seal the pockets 6. The cover tape 4 comprises a cover tape body 20 in the shape of a band having a certain width and a vapordeposited metal film 22 having a width smaller than that of the cover tape body 20 and fixed to the underside of the cover tape body 20. The cover tape body 20 comprises a plastic film 12 and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 14, The vapor-deposited metal film comprises a plastic film 16 bonded to the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 14 and a vapor-deposited metal film 18 having a surface resistivity of 20-500Ω/(square) and formed on the underside thereof.
