RESIN PART FOR MECHANICAL TRANSMITTING MECHANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain parts for mechanical transmitting mechanism having excellent durability by improving wear resistance of the parts made of TPI resin(thermoplastic polyimide resin) usable in wide temperature range from low temperature to high temperature upper than 200 deg.C. SOLUTION: The parts are obtained as resin parts for mechanical conduction mechanism such as gears, friction wheels or cams comprising a resin composition consisting of 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic polyimide resin and 10-100 pts.wt. reinforcing fiber such as carbon fiber, glass fiber or whisker wherein the thermoplastic polyimide resin has >=10% crystallinity. The production method of parts for mechanical conduction mechanism is such that injection-molded products of the resin composition are heat treated at 220-340 deg.C for 0.5-24 h to control the crystallinity to be >=10%.
