PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas pressure welding method using ethylene gas or the gas composed of ethylene gas as a base which has a larger merit in safety than acetylene gas. SOLUTION: A heating burner 10 for performing gas pressure welding is constituted with a base pipe 1, a gas supply pipe 2 or the like, and a fuel gas supply pipe 8 and an oxygen gas supply pipe 9 are connected to one end side of the base pipe 1. The gas supply pipe 2 extending in a ring-shape, whose one part is notched in a perimeter direction, is installed on the other end side of the base pipe 1, and plural flame emitting parts 3 are installed on an inner periphery of the gas supply pipe 2 in a direction facing to the center of the ring. In case where only ethylene gas is used as the fuel gas, flow rates of ethylene gas and oxygen gas are adjusted in a manner that the oxygen rate is 0.5-2.0 for burning. In case where a combustion improver is mixed with ethylene gas to be used as the fuel gas, flow rates of ethylene gas and oxygen gas are adjusted in a manner that oxygen rate is 0.5-2.5 for burning.
