POLYMER, ITS PRODUCTION AND CURABLE COMPOSITION USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vinyl polymer having different functional groups such as an alkenyl group or the like at the molecular chain ends and a process for producing the polymer, and provide a curable composition using the polymer. SOLUTION: A process for producing a vinyl polymer having functional groups at the molecular chain ends is carried out by adding (I) a compound having a functional group and an internal alkenyl group or (II) a conjugated polyene compound in a living radical polymerization of a radically polymerizable vinyl monomer. A vinyl polymer having functional groups at the molecular chain ends can be produced by the above-described process. A curable composition utilizes the vinyl polymer.
