PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition, good in hue, giving highly durable color images and useful for color recording material or the like, by including a compound which evolves an acid when, e.g. exposed, and specific coloring agent. SOLUTION: This composition contains (A) a compound which evolves an acid when exposed and/or heated, e.g. diphenyliodoniumtrifluoromethane- sulfonate and (B) a coloring agent shown by formula I [D is OH or NR18R19; R14 to R19 are each H or substituent, wherein R14 and R15, R15 and R18 or R19, R17 and R18 or R19, and R16 and R17 can form a ring; BL is a group bound to N or block group, e.g. CONR20R201; R20 and R201 are each H or substituent; CPA and CPB are each an atomic group necessary to form a coupler with C to which it is bound; and L is H or a leaving group when an acid acts on BL to leave], e.g. a compound shown by formula II, preferably at 1 to 50 mols per mol of the component A. |
