PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively guide a recording material to a fixing means without reducing an image-supporting region and developing a disturbed image in guiding the recording material transferred by means of a transferring means to as far as a fixing device. SOLUTION: A recording material-transporting device is disposed between a transferring means 2 for transferring an unfixed image to a recording material 4 and a fixing means 3 for fixing the unfixed image transferred to the recording material 4 and guides the recording material 4 toward the fixing means 3 from the transferring means 2. The recording material-transferring device has a guide member 1 abutted to only the end edge of the recording material 4 and for guiding the extreme position of the recording material 4 to a right projection position to the fixing means 3.
