A key blank (10) comprising a body (12) and a head (11) connected to the body, the body designated to include key combination elements (14) so as to facilitate the operation of a lock when inserted in a keyway of the lock. At least one resiliently protruding pin element (16) is provided on said body (12), mounted inside a cavity (24), said resiliently protruding pin element (16) partially protruding from the cavity (24) when no external force is exerted on it, and retracts inwardly into the cavity, when a predetermined force is exerted on it, whereby the resiliently protruding pin (16) may actuate internal mechanism provided within the lock. |
