PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring joint for segments, which has a female metal fitting constituted of a mild steel pipe, has its pin as a male metal fitting easily inserted into the mild steel pipe, and has sufficiently large tensile resistance. SOLUTION: There is provided a ring joint which connects rings of segments S for covering an excavated hole by attaching a male metal fitting 1 onto one end surface of the segment and attaching a female metal fitting 2 onto the other end surface of the same. The male metal fitting 1 is constituted of a pin 12 protruding from the one end surface of the segment S, and the female metal fitting 2 is constituted of a casing 22 embedded in the segment S and a mild steel pipe 23 arranged in the casing 22. The mild steel pipe 23 has an internal diameter slightly smaller than the external diameter of the pin 12 of the male metal fitting 1, and is axially divided into a plurality of pieces. The mild steel pipe 23 is arranged in the casing 22 with a gap K therebetween, which gap is defined by the external peripheral surface of the mild steel pipe 23 and the internal peripheral surface of the casing 22.
